While living in Whistler, BC, the chemist-father and downhill-racer-son duo recognized a need in the market for maintenance products that could benefit both the rider and the environment.

WPL promoted their first products locally in Whistler and at provincial-level downhill and enduro races, collecting data and analysis from professional riders and mechanics in the scene. Feedback was taken back to the lab to tailor formulas to the needs of the racers.
