Maxxis Dissector 29 x 2.4" WT DD 3C MaxxGrip TR Tire CA$150.95 Original price was: CA$150.95.CA$104.95Current price is: CA$104.95.
The signature tire from Troy Brosnan, the Australian DH Star. The Maxxis Dissector is designed for the optimum combination of low rolling resistance and best cornering grip. This versatile tire is therefore actually a rear tire, but can also be used in the front or on both wheels, depending on the surface. Troy Brosnan wanted to create a unicorn of tires. A tire that rolls madly fast, mills precisely through curves and decelerates accordingly well if necessary. The tread pattern of Rekon, Minion DHF, and HighRoller II was used as the basis for this and was designed in close cooperation with Troy during the 2018 World Cup season.

TECHNOLOGIES

Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can drive with less air pressure and therefore have better traction, the rolling resistance is lower than with hose, and where there is no hose, the risk of breakdowns is also reduced. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other tubeless ready tires, because the bead of our TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer like a real UST tubeless tire. This means that tubeless mounting is successful with the first inflation and with little liquid on all rims that comply with the standard dimensions.

Double Down (DD)
DoubleDown (DD) is our casing solution for enduro racing and e-bike use. Two layers of our lightweight 120 TPI casing material are combined with a butyl sidewall insert to create a highly durable tire with more trail feedback than a Downhill casing tire. DoubleDown tires are marginally lighter than their Downhill counterparts, but it’s really the difference in “trail feel” that sets the two apart. Some riders may prefer the highly damped ride provided by a Downhill casing tire.

3C MaxxGrip
Maxxis’ 3C MaxxGrip compound uses the stickiest, slowest rebounding rubber we offer in a mountain bike tire. This high traction compound is the same one used by our top World Cup Downhill and Enduro World Series athletes and is now available in a variety of casing configurations to cover all riders.

Wide Trail (WT)
Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the tire’s tread layout and profile on today’s modern, wider rims. Traditional tires are designed around older, narrower rims and can create an overly square tire profile, leading to less than optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for a 35mm inner rim width but are proven to work over a range from 30-35mm inner rim widths, depending on the rider’s preference.
