NEW EXO+ PROTECTION
Maxxis’s new EXO+ has a 60TPI casing as opposed to the old EXO+ that has a 120TPI casing. The new EXO+ casing is also coated in a new tear-resistant topping rubber. The rubberized EXO material is added to the sidewalls as well as a short butyl insert above each bead. This results in the new EXO+ having nearly twice the tread and sidewall puncture resistance with a roughly 20% increase in pinch cut resistance.
Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tires have many advantages: you can drive with less air pressure. This results in better traction and the rolling resistance decreases. And where there is no hose, the risk of a breakdown also falls. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other “Tubeless Ready” tires. The bead of our TR tires is like a real UST tubeless tire completely covered with a rubber layer. As a result, the hose-free mounting of all rims with standard dimensions is successful on the first inflation and with little fluid.
3C MaxxTerra
Maxxis’ 3C MaxxTerra is an intermediate triple compound configuration used across our mountain tire line. The 3C MaxxTerra compound offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip, which makes it ideal for trail riding in all conditions.
