MTB Handlebars & Stems

Rise is the vertical distance between where the bar attaches to the stem and the center of the bar itself. Mountain bike handlebars are usually flat (zero rise) but can go up to 100mm rise.

Stem length depends on a lot of factors, from trail type to the amount of responsiveness you need. Trail stems tend to be mid-length (between 60 and 80mm), while downhill stems are shorter.
