Pioneer on Many Fronts: Zerode’s Prototype Full Carbon 27.5 Gearbox Trail Bike

Zerode is a boutique bike manufacturer out of New Zealand that’s famous for doing things differently and incorporating technologies that aren’t yet mainstream.  Better known for their internal gear boxed G2 downhill frame, the company is starting to diversify and test designs for bikes that can be pedaled up and down the hill.  Beyond using the internal gear box on this prototype trail bike, Rob Metz (the founder of Zerode) has made the carbon frame in his garage using the same method as surfboard shapers AND he’s using 650B wheels!
